Carbon monoxide poisoning can be fatal and is caused by faulty or poorly maintained appliances. It is vital that you get your boiler and gas appliances inspected and serviced regularly. This is to ensure they are working efficiently and most importantly as safely as possible.
What the engineer do during the service:
- Cleaning of your boiler appliance
- Thorough safety checks of boiler elements and controls
- A ‘wear and tear assessment’ to identify any issues that may become unsafe
- Gas installation pipes check
- Flue and emissions test to check for potential carbon monoxide poisoning
- Check that your boiler is burning an appropriate amount of gas at an efficient rate
- Ventilation check
- Empty and clean out your central heating filter (if you have one installed)
- Assessment of flue flow (if appropriate)
- In addition we provide a reminder when your next boiler service is due
